gma 900 support

I have a Dell 630m notebook and I'd like to know if the GMA900 graphic card is supported by the 5308 build.

You have to check out the manufacturers list - most graphics, sound and hardware manufacturers have a Vista support section for their sites. You'll find more support with ATI or Nvidia who have released LDDM beta drivers for Glass. However about 99% of video cards will be able to work with Vista because there simply a graphics card, however only a proportion of all graphics cards out there will support Glass at this time.

It is supported, but you won't get the Windows Aero Glass experience with it, it is the most common and is frequently found in lower-end mainstream notebooks. It is currently being replaced by the Intel GMA950, which is not that much faster (still useless for 3D) in newer notebooks. The GMA900/950 is only found in Intel processor based notebooks. Recommendations would be a video card with a bare minimum of 64MBs of Video RAM with a supported WDDM driver (Windows Display Driver Model).

That's just a shame, cause with a 2GHz Pentium-M and 2GB memory, it would be nice
